The magic eraser in ESR is used to remove unwanted mods from items. It's an item sold by Charsi on all difficulties. Cubing the Magic Eraser on its own cycles its pages, technically, this just turns it into 9 different items that cycle and each item is used in a set of cube recipes. This has several use cases:
- remove Slain Monsters Rest In Peace on a build that relies or corpses
- remove useless mods to prevent clutter on items
This is done by cubing any magic, rare, crafted, set, or unique item with the unwanted mod together with the magic eraser and another cheap item that determines which mod will be removed. Be careful, some mods can go into negative numbers!
